Just wondering whether anyone has any experience of getting to the heater fan. I've looked through previous posts, but can't really find anything.
My fan unit draws a lot of juice (from memory) - and everything dims, + I've found some wiring that looks like it's got hot at some stage. I've got an 81 Spyder - dash layout as shown below (with radio removed). I've been renovating it over the last year, and if I need to remove coolant pipes etc. now would be a good time, as the engine is out. Can anyone let me know how to get to the motor? I've tried releasing the spring clips around the heater assembly, but to me, it looks like there are coolant pipes fitted to the lower part, so it won't easily separate from the upper part. Removing the clips doesn't seem to have made much of a difference to how well joined these 2 halves are.
Any advice is much appreciated.
