Hi. Anyone got, or know of a source of 84.4mm pistons? They are for a 1981 Spyder 2000.
The head's being 'done' by Andy at www.cylinderheaddevelopments.co.uk

I took the block up as well for some advice - because of the ridges at the top (and a scuff mark in one of the bores that can be felt). So - depending on what the re-bore guys over the road from him say, I might be needing a new set. Just a standard set is fine - I'm not after anything special.

Thanks for any information.

Hi

You would be best getting these from Vick Autos in the US and I would fit the mid domed pistons as you get a mild power increase from the raise to a 10:1 compression ratio.

Good Luck

Eric

PS consider buying new Integrale forged conrods from Tanc Barrett if yours are at all suspect.

+1 for Vick Autos - it's where both my sets of oversize pistons came from.

I have a set of unused MAHLE 84.40 pistons, domed tops (for a 1600cc) and c/w rings. They'll go beautifully in a 1995cc to give you that increased compression ratio (see Guy Croft's book). I'd been hanging on to them and was about to put them into storage but I could be persuaded to sell.

If these are what you want, drop me a line before the end of next week.

Hi Chris. Thanks very much for the offer. I had to go straight to 84.6mm - so I went for a set from Autoricambi (on Guy Croft's advice):

Thanks again.
