Hi Guys, I have a FL2 1983 beta coupe. Can the heater core be removed without having to remove the whole dash?

The water pipes are disconnected in the engine bay, probably cause of a leak in the heater core before my purchase,  so im toying with the idea to get it fixed. BUT, what am I in for ?

Car has A/C as well.

Can you drop and slide the heater core out from under the dash?  If its possible would love to hear your suggestions.

I know the pre facelift car is a dash out job because I had to do it and the Haynes manual gives instructions for removing the later core seemingly through the bottom of the dash/heater housing without removing the dash.
No idea whatsoever regarding a car with A/C but I imagine there would be nothing below the core?
