Hi All
Just acquired this toolkit, never seen one with
1) All its original tools 2) The tools in unused/very lightly used condition 3) The hinges on the plastic clam case unbroken
So, do I keep it (I have a broken hinge/ well used one) or do I sell it and use the money to buy more parts that I actually need.......?
Peter

I've one of those and another in a long trapezoid leather(ish) case. I've often wondered which was OE for which car.
Having seen this post I had a look in the parts book just in case - it says the case you have was for Berlina, Coupe & HPE, while the longer case with a more comprehensive set of tools is for the Spider. Charmingly it also says some of the tools are 'to be purchased locally' !
Can anyone confirm? And where were they supposed to be stored?
Any suggestions why the spider needed a difference tool set? (perhaps it broke down more !)

Now, now..... As to storage, I will take a look at the polystyrene blocks and see if I can see a slot... (and look at the books in case it gives a clue) Peter

On berlinas I believe from vague memory there is a slot under the carpet in one rear corner of the boot that fits the hard plastic box, this is why the box has one slanted edge to fit the curvature of the bodyshell.

Ditto with the facelift Coupe where the jack is behind the rear panel in the boot.

I have a similar toolkit in the same condition complete with broken hinge but missing the screwdriver. i decided to sell it a couple of years ago on eBay and then had a change of heart and withdrew it after bidding had reached ver £40 as Wifey pointed out that I'd probably never get as good again (How's that for a thoughtful spouse?) I recieved four messages from the four bidders asking why it was withdrawn and one offered to top any offer I'd recieved to sell it off the auction. Personally, I'd keep it but that's why I have an office and workshop overflowing with stuff I'll probably never need or use

If you want to keep it i'd understand however i think your best course of action would be to sell it to me. . Seriously though i would like to buy it if your selling.

Never thought tool boxes were so exciting, I think I've got one in the garage still in its outer cardboard box, must check.

Here's the one I've got - not in the best condition After sorting through my boxes of bits for my car, I came across this original toolbox and even worked out where it fits in the polystyrene, not in great condition, but usable. It also found various Lancia brand spanners. Does anyone have a definite list of the tools that originally came with the box? Lastly can someone post a photo of the original jack that came with the Spyder? Thanks Peter
