Title: Auto choke hose Post by: HFStuart on August 23, 2010, 02:41:50 PM As I've got a DMTR carb rather than a DATR the hose that used to connect to the choke now just runs from the rear water rail to the head and just help clutters up the engine bay a bit more.
Can anyone see a problem with blanking off the ends and getting rid of it? If you want to test before blanking it off just run the car up to temperature and then clamp the offending hose. Any negative impact will be obvious after ten minutes of ticking over.
But I cant think of a reason why it would cause an issue. Title: Re: Auto choke hose Post by: JoeBeta on August 26, 2010, 08:34:14 AM Can't imagine you having a problem, used to blank a lot off years ago, when manual conversions were the thing.....
If you do have problems, could just join the 2 ends somewhere... as thats all what happens at the Carb.. Title: Re: Auto choke hose Post by: HFStuart on August 26, 2010, 09:31:24 PM Well Monday should be the big startup day so I'll try it as it is to start with and then blank the hoses off to see what happens.
Thanks, Stuart |
