Title: Beta Alternator Post by: Marlon on February 19, 2010, 08:23:33 PM Will fitting a higher amperage alternator than the standard 55A have any adverse effect on a 1600 beta, reason being I've got somewhat of a HEAVY sound system and other electrical gizmos which I think causes dimming lights, especially at idling speed.
Title: Re: Beta Alternator Post by: MattNoVAT on February 20, 2010, 08:13:08 AM When fitting stereos & amps you should calculate the amps the system will draw, if it draws too much then you'll suffer dimming and charging issues. Fitting an updated alternator will resolve this.
