Title: July 17-18: Club LanciaSport Rally Curborough -> Cholmondeley Pageant of Power Post by: lanciasport on February 14, 2010, 03:19:53 PM Club LanciaSport Rally July 17-18th 2010: Curborough to Cholmondeley Pageant of Power
The dedicated event website at www.lanciarally.com (http://www.lanciarally.com) will be updated March 1st, but here are the headlines:- Saturday 17th July - "Drive and Learn Special" at Curborough Sprint Circuit We've John Whalley and James Whelan on board - but this time with a difference. It's a combination of a warm-up with drivers one-to-one - but then some targeted driving. We're setting up a slalom course. Here's a quote from John... "The slalom was part of Integrale control technique teaching - Pentti Airikkala and I used it a lot to teach the power on, power off control". Not just Delta integrale drivers, but all drivers will learn a lot more about their cars in the company of our professional drivers with this unique track event. Something really very special that drivers of all levels can learn from. As you'll be familiar with if you've been before, there is a lunch van on site with hot food and drink. "Tulips from Curborough" ... maybe from Amsterdam if our regulars from the Netherlands visit us again... After Curborough, it's a roadbook drive with tulip maps (approximately 2 hours) to the Nantwich area where you'll find a choice of hotels and accommodation. We'll be planning an evening meal and meet-up for drinks at 8pm-ish. Sunday 18th July - 'Pageant of Power' at Cholmondeley - or "Chumley" as it is correctly pronounced. A first for Club LanciaSport, it's a great event and something like the Festival of Speed if you've never been before. Following a look-see last year, this event is absolutely one to put in your event calendar every year. See www.cpop.co.uk (http://www.cpop.co.uk) for details. We'd like to thank our sponsors Auto Integrale, Tanc Barratt, Richard Thorne Classic Cars, Western Lancia and Allitalia (Paxtons) as well as John Whalley and James Whelan for supporting this event. From March 1st you can buy tickets online from www.lanciasport.com/regalia (http://www.lanciasport.com/regalia) - numbers are limited But don't wait months to have fun in your Lancia. We don't leave our cars locked away until May with nothing planned! Our event calendar is regularly updated on www.lanciasport.com (http://www.lanciasport.com). These are ALL events where we will officially attend - so you can be sure to see our club gazebo and a warm welcome on arrival on every date in the calendar. Autosport International in January was a great start, but how about this trio of events? Rallye Sunseeker Feb 27th, "Save Donington" March 7th and then Race Retro Stoneleigh March 12-14. After that it's Auto Italia's Spring Car day May 1st. All the details are on our forum. We look forward to seeing you Club LanciaSport Ltd |
