Title: Transverse link rod ends
Post by: WurldBeta on September 17, 2024, 08:16:11 PM
Hi there, hope you're all well.  Does anybody have a part number (or any pertinent info) for the rear transverse link bearing rod ends? I'm taking off the rear suspension to refresh and wanted to short circuit the hunt for them.

Hi, you should be able to find the bushes here on Mark’s site

Thanks for the info Peter.
Both of the pressed metal and the tubular transverse links are subject to a lot of forces. They could be improved dramatically over standard. Anyway, I was just wondering if anybody knows the spec on the metal rod ends with the eyelets sizes? I've done a rough measurement on thread length, pitch and diameter but I haven't pressed rubber bush out as I'm without a press, I'm unsure what to look for in terms of replacements.

Regards

Glenn

If the polybushes weren't available from Mark I would have used the pressed ones as a pattern for the length and bought a few sets (four minimum) of left and right hand thread weldable bushes, a length of thick wall tube and matching sets of Rose Joints in left and right threads with the correct diameter centres to match the standard bolts and built a set and had them plated and painted.

The trouble with Rose Joints is that they have zero compliance and are excellent at transmitting noise. They can also wear quicker than poly bushes, especially if protective rubber boots fail.

If you live in Canada, USA shops may be more convenient.
