I’m privileged to be the new owner of a Beta saloon or as the kids call it Butter Bean as it’s a sophisticated Beige. This is the first Italian car I’ve ever owned and it’s been great. The car is in really good nick and is a pleasure to drive. I have a history with Classic VW’s. But I can’t believe the kit on a 1979 motor, 5 speed box, independent suspension and rear discs. Not many cars were running that in the 70s. I am running through the car changing consumables, hoses, cam belt etc. Also has the added bonus of being ULez exempt. I bought it blind on a Hammersnipe bid but it looked good from the pictures so I was surprised no one really bid on it. It’s been well looked after and has been owned by someone who was in the Lancia club for a long time. It came with folders of receipts manuals and spares etc.
