Title: HELP Looking for engine head bolts.
Post by: tenio hf on January 06, 2024, 09:33:05 PM
Hello.
Looking for engine head bolts.
The same is 1585 cubic meters. 101 hp
I believe the same ones are for replacement, but I'm having trouble finding them.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.

Just bought a set for a 2 Litre from Mark at Betabyz. They're hex head ones though and whilst he might not be showing stock it's worth seeing an email to see if he has any?

You can use the later type stretch bolts with the ribe type heads, easier to obtain I think they are the same on Delta but please check carefully as it's a while since I bought mine. I've never seen any with torx heads as on the link to Mark's page, only ribe, which requires a different tool fitting.

The dimensions of the bolt are 115 mm long. including the head, diameter 10 mm., thread 1.25 mm., steel not less than R 10.

Which part of the head are you taking about? Is it the cam carrier?

This is the bolt that secures the engine head to the engine block, there are 10 bolts.

I am not 100% sure so please check carefully but I think these are correct. They have the later bolt head style with ribe type pattern (very good as it gives a really secure grip of the tool when torquing up).  They are stretch type bolts so require the late type beta torquing sequence. You may also need new washers. If you don't have the correct tool you would need to buy a set of ribe bits, not normally expensive.

Hi

Try Aecar, not expensive.

Thanks everyone for the advice and guidance, I took from these bolts, the only difference being the head.
