Even if the pistons don’t hit the valves, the valves have the possibility to hit one another due to the angle between them. Of course this depends on how the belt slips, snaps or shreds.

Almost a masterclass in how not to revive a long stood engine. Maybe check the spark and fuel before trying to fire it up and buy a load of bits....? Good starter motor though, not to mention the 20 year old plus cambelt.
The key shaft in mole grip brought back happy memories of YAJ. I had new keys cut and they worked on all the locks apart from the boot. I could only lock that with the original broken bit of key. Title: Re: 1300 Coupe project on YouTube Post by: peteracs on July 17, 2023, 12:46:06 PM Hi Neil
Interestingly I had a couple of keys cut for the Spider and they work apart from the fuel filler lock which will only insert one way round oddly…. Peter |
