Title: B&Q Post by: DrewWoo on April 13, 2023, 01:53:34 PM Back in 1969 Richard Block and David Quayle opened their first DIY Superstore in a disused cinema in Southampton. As proud new shopkeepers they were desperate to take a photograph of their new store but felt it a little plain looking. What they really needed was for someone to park a decent car in front of the shop to liven it up. They had to wait a few years for the right car to come along but they felt it was well worth the wait. The rest, as they say, is history.
