Sometime in its past the tailgate was replaced,but it included the trim for an IE model. [ALR603Y is etched in the glass] So, do any of the Aus readers have the correct strip, reading just 2000 [I assume] Or, has anyone tried removing what I think is etching on aluminium....and how?......[Asked no-one, ever before] I'm probably being a pedant but, well............. Sandro, I agree,however I believe the only market these were in was Aus. Finding one there and importing it would be rather excessive. Unless of course someone tells me that they built series 4 HPE's with Carbs for other territorys. Just to say that there clearly were European countries where they offered last series two liter models with a carburator rather than injection ;)

The same happened with the flat bonnets that appeared on early S"FL cars.
