Please see this feature on the Beta Saloon featured in The Telegraph a few weeks ago. In one of the showroom bits you can clearly see a spider with a 'SPYDER' number plate.
A dreadful bit of PR too - 'We hope this has eliminated the problem but I would be foolish to categorically state that it will never happen again'. Technically true perhaps but... The beginning of the end for Lancia in the UK captured in one report on a much viewed news programme.
