Many moons ago GC needed a Beta top water rail and we did a trade where he did my own rail up in exchange for one he needed for a customer. He automatically modded it for the in head stat which isn't a tragedy ..... Or is it? Problem on a VX is that the heater outlet passes via the water rail thereby bypassing the stat. Now does this have any bad effects?
Title: Re: GC in head stat and VX Post by: WestonE on May 08, 2018, 08:22:22 AM Actually that heater connection through the top rail is an inspired OE change saving many engines from blowing the head gasket at number 4 end and it will not be a problem with your in head stat beyond slightly slower warm up. I have a similar set up on my Montecarlo.
