Title: Supplier for dashboard binnacle bulbs? Post by: lanciamad on December 06, 2017, 07:02:22 PM Looks likely I've got to replace the "tell-tale" bulbs for main beam and rear fog light, or sort the wiring while i'm there so might as well change all the tiny bulbs behind the dashboard binnacle while i'm there, any decent suppliers? can't remember if there quite specialist or not before ripping it all out...

One small word of caution if you change the binnacle illumination bulbs while you're in there, LED replacements will not tolerate dimming. If you still want the illumination dimmer to work then you need to stick to old fashioned bulbs. LED's will work fine in the tell tale lights as they are simply on or off. The 286 are the very small capless Bulbs that fit in the illuminate switches fitted to VX and i.e. cars. Packs of 10 are cheap enough.

Post by: lanciamad on December 24, 2017, 07:45:54 PM The smaller bulbs are "286" and the bigger bulbs are "504" I believe, luckily I've had the dash out a few times over the years so a matter of minutes to whip it all out, bulbs changed and ready for a re-test 2018 :)
