Title: Brake servo removal Post by: jreacock on May 01, 2016, 10:17:35 PM Hi. I'm stripping the inside of my bonnet bay (81 Spyder) at the moment - for cleaning, rust killing, painting etc.
Ideally, I'd like to remove the servo unit - but can't really see how it comes off. The Haynes manual isn't providing much help - says that it's held on to the bracket with 4 studs - but does that mean that the bracket needs to come off? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. I just looked at a partially stripped 1982 donor coupe I have and it appears there's no access without getting the lower trim below the glovebox and the entire glovebox out. There is a cover on the linkage at the back of the servo in the cabin where the bolts come through the bulkhead but it's buried in a heap of electrical connections All I can do is offer my sympathy Title: Re: Brake servo removal Post by: jreacock on May 02, 2016, 05:56:37 PM Yes - I got some of the dash off and was indeed confronted by a load of connectors and wires - which is when I decided to just mask around the servo and bracket.
