Title: Charging warning light
Post by: lukasdeopalenica on May 05, 2015, 10:25:23 PM
Recently when I was finishing a short trip the warning light came up. Measuring of the voltage shown 12V. I decided to replace the voltage regulator. Now the voltage is OK, between 13,5-14,4V, but the light is still on. When I increase revvs it dims a bit, however. The voltmeter at the dashboard also shows proper values.
What can be the cause of such situation?

They are prone to that it could be earthing of the instrument panel at fault but tbh I wouldn't worry too much about it

Thanks. I will check it thoroughly. What about diodes? What are the symptoms if they are failed?

The alternator brushes needed probably some time to be grinded. After few kilometers the light operates as it is supposed to.
