Title: still looking for a lancia Post by: lanciaski on November 16, 2014, 10:54:26 AM I came on here about six months ago in search of a Lancia HPE vx. I'm still looking! i was at the NEC yesterday and spoke to a nice chap about old Lancias we had known and loved whilst taking a look at the very nice Monte Carlo in black with the supercharger fitted. I have previously rebuilt an old Saab 99 turbo which was on the Saab stand a few years ago at the NEC. I fear that time constraints combined with my health won't allow me to take on a project. My wife would almost certainly kill me if i pulled up on the drive with another trailer full of rust......
So still my search continues. I should like to extend that search to a good Monte now too after admiring the one on the NEC stand yesterday. A car which is sound mechanically, bodily and interior wise with Mot is what i would like, a usable classic. Thanks, john. Title: Re: still looking for a lancia Post by: GerardJPC on November 16, 2014, 06:40:52 PM I am thinking of selling my HPE VX, a red 1983 car called A20 VLX (formerly A144 KEL). It is in good overall condition and has just passed its MoT. It has recently had a new clutch and fuel pump. It needs some minor attention to bodywork and paint, new brake pads (I have those, and new discs too), and new cloth for the driver's seat (I have a roll of the cloth). The radiator is on the way out but I have a spare used one.
Any good? Title: Re: still looking for a lancia Post by: lanciaski on November 16, 2014, 07:22:41 PM Thanks for the quick reply. The pictures seem to show the car in fair order. what sort of body repairs does it require? structural or cosmetic? where in the country are you located? how much were you thinking of for the car please? thanks, john.
