Title: PCV Hose replacement Post by: smithymc on August 26, 2013, 11:27:16 AM The hose on mine is pretty split and perished - the more I try to shorten it, the worse it gets!
Is it as difficult as it seems to get at the lower end? Thanks Mark Title: Re: PCV Hose replacement Post by: HFStuart on August 26, 2013, 05:31:17 PM Which hose??

The bottom ends seems v difficult to reach at first sight. Mark Title: Re: PCV Hose replacement Post by: HFStuart on August 26, 2013, 10:20:09 PM Sorry didn't recognise 'PCV'.
Yes the bottom end is all but impossible to get at with the inlet manifold in place. The best way I've found is with a (very) long screwdriver from underneath but if the hose clip isn't in the right position it can be a problem. You might be able to get in with a Dremmel or fretsaw to cut the old one off. Title: Re: PCV Hose replacement Post by: smithymc on August 27, 2013, 02:59:17 PM Thanks Stuart
Another codge has been effected until inspiration/opportunity beckons. The hose I have bought ( reinforced) is a little too stiff too. Mark |
