Title: Holy Moly!!!!!! Post by: Funkmiester on January 24, 2013, 12:35:40 AM I have a 2000ie coupe that is in need of struts on all 4 corners and, as a late model, it has the sealed struts. We all know how easy they are to get hold of, available at every local motor factors. Oh, wait, sorry, that was the 1980's, today they are more like unicorn poo. I picked up a set of early front struts that need new inserts for £40 just before christmas. Holy moly!!! that's more than a pair of custom dampertech ones or even a couple of whole cars!!!! It's definitely worth more than my whole car!!

Post by: glovebeast on January 26, 2013, 11:22:17 PM I ordered a car set from Avanti Motorsport in Street, Somerset (http://www.avanti-motorsport.com/home.htm (http://www.avanti-motorsport.com/home.htm)) a few years ago. I knew the rears on the car were leaking, so thought I might as well get a full set while they were available. Apparently ordered from Italy and made to order. They have been sat on the shelf in the garage until recently, when I stripped the front suspension, reconditioning springs, cones and top mounts and rebuilt with the new shocks. It was then I noticed the new bodies were the ones with replaceable inserts! Result!
