Title: spring reference in the fia gr3 homologation
Post by: archigraphe on September 28, 2012, 06:45:23 PM
Hi,

the fia homologationpaper for the gr3 coupé, list a variant for the spring:

front : 82304276
rear : 82304277

the rear spring are those from the version fitted with lpg system. Certainly stronger spring.

But I can not find the front version???

Have anyone some idea?

if they are production springs most likely ones vx, cars with air con, north american spec., australian spec. not really sure if any of those would make for a race/rally drive but  I'll try to check out the numbers

82304276

berlina series 1 parts book states 'for export to tropic and France tropic' 'pour exportation en Tropique et France Tropicale'

82304277 shows as same application the same but for rear

seems odd to me as I thought berlina springs were taller than coupé, maybe it was for rough ground like East African Safari??

A berlina 1800 Gr1 race the african safari, I think,

But this ref are for the Gr3 Coupé...

May berlina spring  fit on coupé strut ?

For Sur, the suspension may be very strong...

The different characteristic  are :

Front :

berlina standard l: released : 443.5 loaded 211 heavy loaded 136
berlina tropical : released : 441.5 / 226 / 151
Coupé standard :391.5 / 183.5 / 113.5

Coupé load are minus than berlina.

Rear :

berlina standard l: released : 394 / 209 / 129
berlina tropical : released : 402 / 233 / 153
Coupé standard 311 / 186 / 111

Coupé load are minus than berlina.

So.... Is there african lancist on ebay ???? ::)

This ref are only for the Gr3 cars who are original car withoout species like twin carbs or vented disc.

On the Gr4 cars like show us the FIA referencement card, the front strut are totally different...this is nor a totally different car.
