Title: For Sale - Beta HPE Restoration Project Post by: vequhart on June 09, 2012, 03:14:23 PM Hello guys, I have been a silent member for a while and a 2-times Beta HPE owner for around 12 years. Sadly my first post on here is to admit that I have to let my old girl go and I wanted to give the members of this forum first dibs at her before I consider Gumtree / Ebay etc.
She is a black 2000 HPE IE, registration FLC 714Y, in need of a bottom end engine rebuild and then a full engine re-assembly. Body work is also needing attention in the usual places, but not bad for her age. She has been SORN from about 10 years ago when I stripped the engine down to replace the big ends, and has been like that in my garage ever since. I had put a few nice parts on her such as new bushes, all new brake pipes, new discs / apds, goodridge hoses, tuned manifold etc before she went SORN and she's definitely not ready for the scrapyard yet but as has been proven I just haven't got the time to get her back to former glory and she'd be better served in someone else's caring hands. She's therefore a definite non-runner and will need to be transported away by the lucky buyer. I'm open to sensible offers, and for the right price she'll also come with a huge set of donor parts I stripped off another mechanically sound but very rusty car (e.g. suspension, glass, most mechanical and electrical parts, a spare block and head, seats, plus a full wiring loom etc etc) The car is in Birtley, County Durham, and if you're interested in obtaining more details or to arrange a viewing, please PM me on kevs_colony@hotmail.com and I'll give you my phone number etc. Cheers Kev |
