Title: removing seat covers Post by: Hawk on April 23, 2012, 10:43:12 AM does anyone know if it is possible to remove the seat covers and the replace them?
I have some vinyl seats that have torn along the stitching and I was thinking that, if I could remove them and have them stitched, it would work out significantly cheaper than having them completely retrimmed For a 79 spyder if that makes any difference Title: Re: removing seat covers Post by: HFStuart on April 23, 2012, 09:30:09 PM Yes it's quite possible given patience. Provided it's just the stitching that has gone and not the material it should be fairly straightforward.
For re-installing I recomend a set of hog ring pliers (and hog rings) they make life a lot simpler. Don't buy them from Frost though - eBay is far cheaper!
