Title: Water Pump Query Post by: lanciamad on March 13, 2012, 07:56:41 PM I'm changing the water pump on my IE, everything has gone very smoothly so far with much better access to it than I first thought. I've got the new pump (which is the right one :o) it comes with the gasket to fit pump to block but there's no gasket for pump to lower water rail.
I was going to use some instant gasket silicone sealant, is this the norm? or should it come with a gasket of some type? It's a common size and comes in a lot of DIY plumbing waste kits.
