Title: Beta Meeta '11 Post by: lanciamad on May 01, 2011, 11:02:41 AM As a few of us discussed at Brooklands yesterday it seems there is an interest to build on last years event, see... http://www.betaboyz.myzen.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=587.0 (http://www.betaboyz.myzen.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=587.0) It is now May unbelievably, so just kicking things off for us onliners! Who's interested in backing it? What car will you be bringing? Suggested locations? (more centrally is the feedback from last year) and if you live around the area, what can be arranged, regarding a meet up point, drive/convoy and interest/events that can be done throughout the day.
I'm going to be busy this year with work and family commitments so would rather someone else take over the organising for this year if possible, as any spare time (and money) i'm going to put into my HPE this year, which should make it rather unique if it's not already, watch this space! 1. Title: Re: Beta Meeta '11 Post by: TonyLanciaBeta on June 16, 2011, 06:42:25 PM a little late but here it is :D
Betameeta11 6th August "After the success of last years event, Betaboyz have now organised Betameeta11 – ‘a summer get-together for Lancia Betas’, to which all other Lancia’s are welcome. This year's event will be held on Saturday 6th August 2011 and be based in the North Wiltshire area. Very handy for easy access to the M4, M5, M3, A303 etc. The day will commence with meeting up for introductions and coffee at Bowood House, (SN11 0LZ, situated between Chippenham & Calne) at 10.00am. After this we will head off to historic Silbury Hill, just outside Avebury, where the treasure hunt will begin. The treasure hunt itself will cover approx 10 miles, but there are sights to see en-route, pubs to stop at for lunch (we'll give you pub details at the beginning of the hunt), so the aim is for a pleasurable and leisurely 4-5 hours, taking in the superb scenery and driving roads of Wiltshire. The day will conclude with a BBQ and prize giving at Andy Collins' place, just outside Yatton Keynell where there is plenty of parking space, and room to pitch tent for those of you would like to stay over. There is no charge for the treasure hunt and coming along to the day, but for the evening event we would ask that you bring drink and something to cook on the BBQ. To cover the periferies (nibbles, breads, cheeses, salads, soft drinks, loo hire etc) will be a charge of just £10.00 per person. Although it is not imperative to book, knowing approximate numbers in advance is always useful! Please contact Amanda Dodge (01823 461472) or email Tony Harrison: t_harrison3 at sky dot com for further details and to confirm your attendance. We all look forward to seeing you on 6th August. Regards Tony, Amanda and Andy Title: Re: Beta Meeta '11 Post by: lanciamad on June 16, 2011, 06:51:58 PM Sounds brill :), whatever state its in, the car will be there ;)
Title: Re: Beta Meeta '11 Post by: miles on July 11, 2011, 05:10:51 PM Sounds good. All being well will travel up for the day from plymouth in the spider. Last years meet was a good do, despite dodgy weather to start, so looking forward and hope its a good turn out.
Title: Re: Beta Meeta '11 Post by: peteracs on July 13, 2011, 01:19:09 PM Hi All
I would be really interested in coming for the day, but as the Spider will not be ready this year and it is a fair way from North Notts/Lincs border where I live, anyone fancy a car share/lift (can meet up at suitable location)? Happy to contribute to petrol/share driving etc! Thanks Peter Title: Re: Beta Meeta '11 Post by: gillybeta on July 19, 2011, 09:58:14 PM looking forward to this year's betameet. i have not been out much this year so with the LMC AGM the

Eventually suss out how to put up my first post! Thrilled so many are coming on Saturday considering last weekend was the AGM. If everybody heads to Bowood House SN11 0LZ for 10.00am there will be a cordoned off area for the Lancias.I will hand out all details and info for the rest of the day then. Looking forward to seeing you all. regards Amanda ;D Title: Re: Beta Meeta '11 Post by: MattNoVAT on August 05, 2011, 07:42:52 PM Due to work related events I will be unable to attend BetaMeeta 2011 :'(
I had the car polished, fuelled up and running sweetly only for the stock markets to go mental, which makes my senior management want to know our systems are capable of handling the volume. Title: Re: Beta Meeta '11 Post by: lanciamad on August 07, 2011, 04:23:50 PM Would just like to thank Amanda and Steve again for organising a great day out for us Beta owners. Following on from last year I think this is (hopefully) going to keep moving forward over the years and become an annual event.
Was great to get together various versions of the Beta range, modified and not with the odd gamma, delta, monte and fiat chucked in for good measure. Thanks also go to Andy for providing entertainment and the BBQ, where cake wasn't available luckily! Roll on next year for the 40th. ;D My dads pics of the day :- http://www.flickr.com/photos/lanciamad/sets/72157627376722424/ (http://www.flickr.com/photos/lanciamad/sets/72157627376722424/) Title: Re: Beta Meeta '11 Post by: WestonE on August 07, 2011, 07:24:06 PM Amanda Steve and Andy
