Title: Rear struts
Post by: Iain on April 09, 2011, 04:19:41 PM
Help!!

Spent this morning removing the rear struts with the plan of replacing the shocks with the nice new Excel G gas inserts recently bought only to discover that, unlike the front, the rear units are the sealed type.  Doh!!! That's what you get for making assumptions

So, with the MOT  does anyone have a pair of rear strut bodies lying about (the type that take inserts) that they'd like some cash for

Woops, hit return before I finished typing  ;D, the full message should have read:

So, with the MOT fast approaching and one of the shocks knackered, does anyone have a pair of rear strut bodies lying about (the type that take inserts) that they'd like some cash for?

Even though the sealed unit/s are knackered do not throw them away!

These can be converted to take inserts.

Someone on here will buy the old sealed units that a cert!

Bump

Stuart,

It's struts for a Coupe I'm looking for.  I'd really appreciate it if you could help out, MOT is just a couple of weeks away.

Cheers

As Matt says I would be interested in the old struts to convert/recon. Let me know when your done with them.
