Title: Temp when radiator fan cuts in Post by: JoeBeta on March 22, 2011, 11:19:29 AM Hi just a quick question. Now that the outside temperature is above freezing,
At what temp should the radiator fan cut in at. When sitting in traffic, my temp gauge reads just over 3/4 before fan cuts in. Is this normal??? If it's not opening when it should then hot water is not allowed to flow into the radiator to trigger fan switch. If that's the case, fitting an override switch will achieve nothing. Check that the whole radiator is hot when the temperature gauge is just above half way.

Had a couple of near misses last summer?? as fan wasn't cutting in, it was a dodgy wire in the end (what a surprise) |
